We talk Treating Yo'Self & maintaining Balance with Lana Van Hout

Achieving balance in today’s busy world isn’t easy, that’s why it’s always a good idea to find those activities to Treat Yo’Self (aside from shopping for Activewear). We chatted with our girl Lana Van Hout on how she likes to treats herself to find balance.

1. Getting out, enjoying the surroundings and gathering my thoughts. 

Summer is here so what more excuse do you need to get out into nature! I always love going for a run in a park or in the bush to gather my thoughts after a busy. The waterfalls at Piha, bush tracks in the Waitakere’s and inner city park routes are some of my favourite spots.

2. Taking a dip in the ocean

It’s so refreshing to go swimming in our beautiful seas. We are lucky to be surrounded by plenty of swimming spots in Auckland so it’s great to be able to make the most of them with the weather warming up.

3. Finding that comfy spot at home

While I love being active, it’s always nice to feel truly relaxed finding a comfy spot at home, and soaking up the sun while reading a book or hanging out with my dog.

4. Yoga with Friends

With a busy lifestyle, its hard to fit everything in. That’s why I love organising activities with my girls where we can catch up and all treat ourselves. Yoga is one of our go-to’s and definitely one where you can all unwind and then enjoy a coffee and bite to eat afterwards.

5. Walks around some of Auckland’s best spots

Whether alone or in company, taking a walk around the Waterfront or in a park nearby is such a simple way to treat yo’self and helps put things in perspective. I love adventuring to North Head or roaming around the waterfront. These spots are beautiful at any time of day!
